FORGE partners with Tickets for Good to offer free tickets for British DJ's night SHERELLELAND, making club culture more accessible and supporting grassroots venues.

FORGE Warehouse has partnered with Tickets for Good to offer free tickets to SHERELLE's upcoming SHERELLELAND tour date in Sheffield, on Friday 14th March. FORGE, SHERELLE and Tickets for Good are dedicated to making club nights accessible to everyone, particularly those facing financial challenges, and NHS workers, charity staff, teachers, and cost-of-living payment recipients can now access free tickets to her Sheffield show. With independent venues like Dorothy Pax recently closing, tours such as Sherelle’s highlight the need to support grassroots venues, keeping live music inclusive and affordable for everyone.

When announcing the return of her concept tour, SHERELLE wanted to make sure that the shows would be accessible to her fans across the UK. A ticket cap of £10 was used for each show and at a time when live events can be too expensive for fans, due to the cost-of-living crisis and in some instances, dynamic pricing, this ticket cap means fans can attend the tour at a lower cost. Barriers to events have been created due to rising prices, with many music lovers feeling priced out of experiences they would have wanted to attend. Sheffield-born live events organisation, Tickets for Good, aims to remove these access barriers, making events available regardless of financial or social barriers.

Since being founded in 2019, Tickets for Good have partnered with artists such as Robbie Williams and Pixies to offer free tickets to groups such as NHS members, charity workers, teachers, and cost-of-living payment recipients. With over 400,000 registered users across the globe, over 850,000 tickets have been distributed to those who may have otherwise missed out. Tickets for Good will be continuing to work with FORGE to allow fans to access SHERELLE’s upcoming date at the venue.

Through her DJ sets, radio shows and own initiative BEAUTIFUL., SHERELLE always aims to give a platform to new talent. She’s worked with independent promoters across Europe to provide cheaper tickets for shows. The BBC 6 Music DJ  has an unwavering commitment to grassroots communities and will be playing at other independent venues as well as FORGE on the upcoming tour, and closing the SHERELLELAND tour at the infamous Roundhouse in London.

Over the past year, countless grassroots venues across the UK have had to shut down due to financial struggles, including Sheffield’s own Dorothy Pax who made their heartbreaking announcement last week. Dorothy Pax explained in their statement that they are saddened to become another venue forced to close due to the effects of COVID-19 and the cost-of-living crisis.

SHERELLE’s support of grassroots venues goes hand in hand with her dedication to accessibility, keeping club culture thriving and open to all. By offering free tickets to key workers and those facing financial barriers, FORGE is leading the way in improving access to live music. As an artist, SHERELLE supports this mission, while Tickets for Good makes sure these opportunities reach those who need them the most.

SHERELLE, DJ and Musician, said:

“Live music should be for everyone, no matter their circumstances. It’s such an important part of culture and community, so we’ve got to do what we can to keep it alive. I’m super happy to be working with FORGE and Tickets for Good to help bring more people into these spaces, without services like the NHS and benefits, so many people—myself included growing up—would be left behind. We need to protect these services at all costs and make sure music remains accessible for everyone.”

Steve Rimmer, CEO and Founder of Tickets for Good, said:

“As someone who started out in Sheffield’s music scene, I know first-hand the challenges venues and promoters face. SHERELLE's passion for supporting these spaces and ensuring live music remains accessible aligns closely with our values here at Tickets for Good. We’re so excited to be part of this tour, working together with FORGE to give our members the chance to experience amazing live music while also supporting the local venues and nightclubs that make it happen.”

“We're buzzing to be welcoming SHERELLE back to FORGE after the huge success of her Hooversound label night with us just over a year ago. When she suggested the concept of a curated lineup with tickets priced at £10, we couldn't say no! She's an artist who really understands the economics of the scene and the concept of her 'cheap and cheerful' SHERELLEAND tour is something I'm sure we can all get on board with. Adding some free tickets for the event by listing on Tickets For Good made sense, as we like to do this for all of our in-house events anyway. We can't wait for Friday!”
