George Webb Joins the Tickets For Good Team

We’re delighted to welcome George Webb to the Tickets for Good team as our new Customer Service and Ticketing Operations Lead!

We’re delighted to welcome George Webb to the Tickets for Good team as our new Customer Service and Ticketing Operations Lead! With a strong background in live events and a real passion for music, George brings both industry know-how and a genuine love for helping people get the most out of their event experiences.

From ensuring smooth ticketing journeys to supporting our brilliant community of users, George is here to make sure everything runs like clockwork behind the scenes. We chatted with him about his love for live music, his career so far, and what he’s most excited about in his new role.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your professional background?

I've come from a background of various customer facing roles, including working for a world-renowned music licensing company as the lead of their customer service team, as well as in the contact centre of First Direct Bank. Most recently though, I was working as a Supervisor at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds. I was blessed with watching some of the worlds best live acts for free (including seeing my favourite band Dry Cleaning in 2024!) on a nightly basis, but I'm even more excited now to be joining TFG and helping others get that rush of live events that we all love.

What’s your role at Tickets for Good, and what will you be focusing on?

I'm joining TFG as Ticketing Operations & Customer Service Lead, which means I'll be on the front line helping our users get the best possible experience out of our service. Similarly, the Ticketing Operations side will involve putting the events together so that they're fit & ready to go on our website. I'll be focussing on assisting the existing team with their workload and go on to streamline and improve the department as a whole.

What inspired you to join the team at Tickets for Good?

A huge thing for me in terms of my work is believing what I do is making a difference. The opportunity here at TFG just seemed like a perfect way to showcase what I can do as a team member, while also being something I know is helping people and and working towards a good cause! Once I had a chance to meet some of the team, they're incredibly warm welcome made sure this was something I couldn't possibly pass up.

What areas of your work are you most passionate about?

Every role I've taken on since the age of 16 has been customer facing in some way. There's a certain satisfaction that you get from helping people, and when that's all in service of a company ethos I can believe in - that's what I'm passionate about!

What experience or skills are you bringing to the role that you're excited to put into action?

My experience includes customer focussed roles that are face-to-face, telecommunications, and online, so I feel like I have completed the tri-fector of customer service and this will set me up perfectly to assist our users in the most helpful way possible. Moreover, my time spent at the Brudenell allowed me to see how live events are put together first-hand, meaning I can apply this knowledge to TFG to ensure our event partners are as happy as our users!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

My main passion outside of work is music journalism! I'm a big collector and curator of music and I love to write reviews of albums or gigs that move me. Having written freelance for a number of underground music magazines over the years, I mostly do it for my own enjoyment now - and I'm a sucker for compiling my favourite releases into meticulous end-of-year lists!

A hidden talent or fun fact about you?

A fun fact about me is that I'm due to be best man at my friends wedding in just a couple of days time - starting a new job while trying to write a speech is not something I'd recommend!

We’re so excited to have George on board as part of the team – his passion for music and commitment to excellent service make him a perfect fit for Tickets for Good. Be sure to give him a warm welcome if you see his name pop up in your inbox!
